FALLS VILLAGE, CONNECTICUT 06031
Electors and others qualified to vote at town meeting are hereby warned of a Town Meeting for the Town of Canaan, Falls Village, Connecticut to be held at the Emergency Services Center at 188 Route 7 South, on May 26,2022 at 7 PM to act on the following:
1. Shall the Town of Canaan appropriate up to the sum of $2,137,244 for general municipal services for the fiscal year 2022-2023?
2. Shall the Town of Canaan appropriate up to the sum of $3,621,541 for educational expenses (Lee H. Kellogg School $2,124,285; Region One $1,497,256) for fiscal year 2022-2023?
3. Shall the Town of Canaan approve an appropriation of $18,000 from the Planning and Zoning Reserve Account number 51001431 for the purpose of rewriting the zoning regulations.
4. Shall the Town of Canaan approve an appropriation of $18,000 from the 107/108 Main Street Property Reserve Account number 1702630541 for the purposes of updating the elevator electronics.
5. Shall the Town of Canaan appoint the following as official Depositories of the Treasurer of the Town of Canaan: National Iron Bank, Salisbury, Salisbury Band and Trust, Salisbury and North Canaan, Torrington Savings Bank, Falls Village and Litchfield Bancorp, Salisbury for fiscal year 2022-2023?
6. Any other business that might properly come before the meeting.
Procedure for the proceedings: Roberts Rules of Order will prevail, where not in conflict with Parliamentary Law. In accordance with the principles of a deliberative meeting under both Roberts Rule and Parliamentary Law, participation will be reserved to those present.
