About
Comprehensive Social Services offered for individuals and families of all ages. The Social Service agent evaluates the needs of Town of Canaan (Falls Village) residents and provides information about community/state resources that are available, and makes referrals as needed. Home visits can be arranged. Services are provided in a supportive & professional environment. Confidentially is assured.
Office located at Senior Center; 107 Main Street, Falls Village CT 06031 Handicapped parking and access in rear of building. Elevator available.
Seniors meet weekly on Thursdays. On-sites activities and programs are offered as well as monthly trips to local areas of interest throughout the State of CT.
In addition to activities, a hot congregate lunch is served on Thursdays($4 per person).

Falls Village Food Pantry
Falls Village Fook Bank is available to Falls Village residents who are in need of assistance. The Food Bank is made possible due to the support of the Falls Village Congregational Church and Kellogg School food drives through the year.
The food bank contains non-perishable food items and paper products.

Energy Assistance Application
Town of Canaan Social Services is now accepting appointments for the Energy Assistance Program.
This is a winter heating assistance program with specific income and asset requirements for participation.
Gross income 2023-2024 season guidelines are as follows:
Household Size: 1, Gross Income: $39,761
Household Size: 2, Gross Income: $51,996
Household Size: 3, Gross Income: $64,230
Household Size: 4, Gross Income: $76,465
