The office of the Town Clerk is one of the oldest in government. Maintaining and preserving the records of the town is its primary function. With the passage of time, the office has been delegated many other tasks such as Registrar of Vital Statistics, election officer and agent for the State of Connecticut.
Census Information may be found at the United States Census Bureau website.
The Land Records are public documents and are open to all persons. We will NOT search for Land Records. Please do not call the office and ask for a search or recording information. Information will not be given out over the phone.

Trade Names, Updated as of January 1st, 2025

Renewal for Trade Names
Under the new law, all trade names will expire 5 years from the date they are filed. Trade names existing prior to January 1, 2025, will expire on December 31, 2029. Because the first renewals will not happen until 2029, we are not providing a statewide form at this time.
