- Discuss and act on proposal by Selectmen and Treasurer on how the Board of Finance would like the Town of Canaan to handle recharacterization of amounts and purposes within Departmental sub-lines.

- Add further explanation to the resolution in February meeting to clarify the reason and source of funds requested for move to Reserve Funds:
WHEREAS: The Town of Canaan Department of Public Works ( here in DPW) required a new highway truck to replace one retired from service and further,
the the DPW manager (Tim Downs) having sought and received approval of a $41,276.73 of a State of Connecticut grant (here in the GRANT) towards the truck purchase ….
AND WHEREAS: The necessity of the purchase of the highway truck occurred before the receipt of the GRANT funds and further, the truck purchase
occurred with the temporary use of funds available in the Treasury of the Town of Canaan to be restored upon receipt of the GRANT funds……..

Act on Board of Selectman recommendation to the BOF an appropriation from the 170 reserve account $5551 for 107 Main Street alarm & lighting replacement.
